Director of Development

Unique to the fundraising world, UWSVI has broad impact on programs throughout the region, funding services and collaborating with service providers on three areas of action. The Director of Development is a seasoned fundraising leader and strategic thinker. Drawing on experience, the Director of Development actively leads a team of development professionals to secure major and planned gifts from individual donors. Key areas of success include developing strategy and ensuring the implementation of donor-centred fundraising programs that will drive growth, build a strong donor pipeline, deepen donor relationships, and optimize stewardship of UWSVI. As a member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development will lead three full-time staff and liaise closely with the Corporate Giving and Partnership team. With a collaborative leadership approach, the Director of Development ensures a culture that is inclusive, supportive, and oriented to stakeholder engagement, high performance, community impact, and innovation.
