COVID-19 Safety

United Way Greater Victoria cares about the health and safety of our volunteers and our communities and we applaud the volunteer response to COVID-19 that is mobilizing to support those who are vulnerable and in need.

To protect yourself and your community from COVID-19, it’s important to help slow the spread of the virus.

Before volunteering during this time, consider your own health. Are you well enough to volunteer? Your safety and limiting the spread of the coronavirus is and should always be your main priority.

For more information on COVID-19, we encourage you to visit BC Centre for Disease Control for information on how to protect yourself, your family and your community and what to do if you suspect you have the virus.

If you are healthy and wish to help in your own community, register on ivolunteer.ca and we’ll help you connect to your community.

While United Way’s offices are now closed to the public until further notice, we’re here to support our communities and to support you. If you need information or assistance, contact Kelly Binette, United Way Community Builder for Esquimalt at communitybuilder@uwsvi.ca or via telephone at (250) 984-2267 during this critical time.

Do take care of yourselves and your loved ones.
