In Langford, United Way supports 49 social programs delivered by 2 local and 46 regional organizations.

A gift will:

  • Provide free, fresh food to low-income and food-insecure individuals and families six days per week, each month;
  • Support people to cope with mental health challenges, poverty and substance use;
  • Provide household items to women and girls fleeing domestic violence situations, aging out of foster care, or leaving unsafe living environments;
  • Offer education and support to those at risk of homelessness to secure and maintain rental housing, or provide direct housing and income support to vulnerable families facing eviction or living in unsafe housing;
  • Support urban Indigenous Elders through phone check-ins, home supports, assistance getting to and from doctor’s appointments, and food hampers/free community meals.
  • Provide low and no-cost mental health counselling to immigrants and refugees.
