Bottle Depot’s October Charity of The Month
The Bottle Depot is now accepting cans and bottles on behalf of United Way Southern Vancouver Island (UWSVI) until the end of October, with all proceeds going to support local needs. From youth struggling with mental health to isolated seniors who can’t afford a nutritious meal, you will help our neighbours who need it most.
To donate, please drop off your refundable beverage containers at any one of the Bottle Depot’s Charity Bin locations in Greater Victoria. You can place your items inside the charity bin or take your bottles and cans inside and request that your refund money is donated to UWSVI.
Empty cans and bottles can be dropped off at the Bottle Depot locations in Greater Victoria:
• 4261 Glanford Ave. (North of Vanalman)
• 655 Queens Ave (Downtown Victoria)
• 3961 Quadra St. (South of McKenzie)

This year, United Way Southern Vancouver Island celebrates 85 years of building strong and inclusive communities—neighborhood by neighbourhood and generation after generation. Since 1937, United Way Southern Vancouver Island has raised ~$180 million dollars. This year, we are looking to raise $5 million to bring our total investment in social good to $185 million. The funds raised for our community will support a strong network of local partners and critical social services fostering systemic, long-term change. United Way is 100% Local. You can transform lives right here on Southern Vancouver Island. Donate today and help a neighbour!
