Special Virtual Launch Event
United Way of Southern Vancouver Island and Capital Daily invites you to a special virtual event on Thursday, November 17th. This event will launch the annual Capital Daily Holiday Drive in support of UWSVI.
Hear from researchers, community partners, and specialists about early childhood development and why our support is critical in helping local kids succeed.
The three panellists are:
Alison Gerlach, Assistant Professor School of Child and Youth Care, University of Victoria.
Enid Elliot, Instructor of Early Learning and Care, Camosun Interurban.
Kendra Gage, Executive Director at Hulitan Family & Community Services Society.
If you are interested in attending the virtual event, sign up here.
All gifts made this holiday season will be matched up dollar for dollar by Capital Daily major donors. Our goal is to raise $200,000 that will support 5,000 children and their families, that is, nearly 1 in 4 children and their families in the region.
Donations from this year’s Capital Daily Holiday Drive will support early-year programming that helps children and families thrive. This year, United Way Southern Vancouver Island supports/powers 26 local community partners to deliver programs and initiatives for children and families.
