How you can make a difference

Welcome to United Way Southern Vancouver Island – a collective of hard-working individuals who are passionate about giving, advocating, and volunteering to build a stronger, more resilient community.

United Way believes that at the heart of a healthy community are people who care for those around them.

There are many ways to get involved from running a workplace campaign, to joining Women United to learning more about partnership with Labour! Currently, we are raising funds for youth mental health programs in our region through our United for Mental Health campaign. Find out more.

Engage your employees in supporting their community.

If your company is looking for a way to make a meaningful contribution to the community, and drive business results in the process, there’s never been a better time to get involved with workplace campaigns.

Women United

Women United is a global giving circle of 70,000+ women that recognizes the enormous power and influence of women in philanthropy. And now United Way Southern Vancouver Island is launching a Capital Regional District chapter to leverage local time, talent and resources. You have the power to help address important social issues in your community!

United Way & Labour – a partnership

United Way has a strong and long-standing partnership with organized labour. The National Partnership Agreement between United Way Centraide Canada and the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) was formed in 1988.

Host an Event

Did you know that you can build your own event in support of United Way? Creating your own fundraising event is easy.  Any funds collected beyond your break-even amount will go towards United Way’s work tackling local, #UNIGNORABLE issues—including poverty, homelessness and mental health—in communities throughout Southern Vancouver Island.
