Salish peoples including: the Lək̓ʷəŋən peoples Songhees Xwsepsum/Kosapsum [Esquimalt] Nations here in the Victoria core area, the WSÁNEĆ (SȾÁUTW/Tsawout, W̱JOȽEȽP/Tsartlip, BOḰEĆEN/Pauquachin, WSIḴEM/Tseycum) out on the Saanich Peninsula, and to the west the Beecher Bay, Sc’ianew (Chenuh), T’Sou-ke, Pacheedaht, and MÁLEXEŁ/ Malahat, and Gulf Islands Penelekut Nation. Grant Funding Opportunities – United Way’s Community Investments
Since 1937, United Way has invested over $170 million to support a strong network of programs and services in Southern Vancouver Island. As a multi-year funder, United Way supports a broad array of high quality programs/projects, services and initiatives that reach and serve our most vulnerable population to ensure that everyone in every community has the opportunity to live a good life.
