Donate Once, Double Your Impact
For every $1 you donate, $2 will go to help kids, youth and families up to $250K thanks to the Blue Heron Advisory Group of CIBC Wood Gundy Match Fund.
“Poverty is not a choice. My mother had mental health issues, so my childhood was taking care of her rather than being a kid. I was upset and angry, but I didn’t know why.
I grew up in the neighbourhood beside Quadra Village Community Centre since I was two years old. My mom would go there to get free food, I was part of the baby groups, and I went to the summer camps. The youth outreach program was instrumental in helping me move on from this dark chapter in my life. They helped arrange housing, school, and my first job. This experience built up my confidence and I realized my neighbourhood was a lot bigger than my little slice of it,” shares August, past participant at Quadra Village Community Centre, a United Way funded agency.
See firsthand how much August appreciates her new lease on life, thanks to donors like you, in this short video.
Believing no child or youth should be left behind, the Blue Heron Advisory Group of CIBC Wood Gundy will match any donation to United Way’s Families in Need OR Blue Love Campaign for Mental Health areas of action, dollar for dollar.
Our goal is to raise funds to support kids, youth and families with the resources they need to thrive as we navigate through life’s challenges.
Donations will support activities such as: preschool and afterschool programs to art therapy groups, homework clubs and reading programs. Contributions will also assist families in accessing food boxes and parenting programs.
